The final four years of the Prophet Muhammad’s stay in Mecca witnessed the revelation of specific Quranic verses, categorized within the latter two groups of the Quran—from Surah Qaf to the end. The intermediate four years correspond to the middle two groups, while the earliest revelations are found in the initial two groups. These verses frequently address the anxieties of early Muslims and the challenges faced by the Prophet. A key theme concerns the assertion that the Prophet is merely a deliverer of divine messages, not an author of the Quran, and that Allah alone controls all events, including the bestowal of faith and the timing of punishment. The text challenges disbelievers to produce even ten verses comparable in eloquence to the Quran, emphasizing that its origin is divine knowledge. This highlights the fundamental principle of Tawhid—the oneness of Allah—and invites adherence to His commands.
