The Quran emphasizes the numerous signs of Allah’s creation present in the natural world, inviting contemplation and recognition of His power and wisdom. These signs, or Ayat, are evident in the cyclical patterns of day and night, the provision from the seas, and the diverse landscapes of the earth. The Quran highlights how Allah has harnessed the night and day for human benefit, regulating essential processes like respiration in plants and providing access to sustenance from the oceans. The earth is stabilized with mountains and crisscrossed with rivers and pathways, all designed to facilitate travel and access to resources. Furthermore, the guidance offered through stars and the very composition of the earth—its varied colors and lifeforms—serve as reminders of Allah’s artistry. These verses encourage believers to reflect upon the abundance of Allah’s blessings and to acknowledge that He alone is the Creator and Sustainer of all existence, while rejecting the notion of deities who themselves require creation.
