402 - AL-KAHAF (Ayat# 01-05)
Surah Al-Kahf, revealed after Surah Al-Isra, addresses themes of divine guidance, trials, and the ultimate reward for the righteous. The surah emphasizes the importance of recognizing and resisting trials, particularly the deception of Dajjal – a figure of immense trial and tribulation mentioned in Islamic eschatology. It highlights that Dajjal’s fitna (temptation/deception) will test the faith of every believer, and true faith will be distinguished through steadfastness. The surah also warns against the dangers of materialism and forgetting the afterlife, a pervasive form of deception in the modern world. Furthermore, it addresses those who falsely attribute partners to Allah, specifically referencing the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, and condemns the lack of evidence for such beliefs. Surah Al-Kahf promises a lasting reward for those who believe and perform righteous deeds, assuring them of eternal bliss.
