The early revelations of the Quran are categorized into distinct groups based on their historical context and thematic focus. This grouping reveals a progression in the presentation of core Islamic beliefs. The initial group primarily consists of Surah al-Fatiha, followed by two groups containing Surahs al-An'am, al-A'raf, Surah Yunus through Surah al-Mu'minun, and Surah al-Furqan through Surah As-Sajdah. These Surahs, predominantly revealed during the Meccan period, emphasize the concept of Tawhid (the Oneness of Allah). They address fundamental questions of existence, divine attributes, and the accountability of humankind. Later Meccan Surahs, like Surah al-Isra and Surah al-Kahf, build upon these foundations, while the final Meccan group of Surahs prepares the way for the Madani revelations. The Quran’s message is eternal, reaching all of humanity through its transmission and preservation, and those who receive it have a responsibility to convey it to others.
