612 - AL JASIYAH (Ayat# 01-19)
The Quran presents compelling signs of Allah’s power and providence, notably through the cycle of water as a source of life and sustenance. This concept, elaborated in Surah Al-Baqarah, highlights water’s role in bringing forth vegetation from barren land, demonstrating a divine renewal. The Quran emphasizes that these signs are for those who possess intellect and reflection. Furthermore, the Quranic verses reveal that Allah has bestowed upon humanity the ability to utilize the resources of the heavens and the earth, including the seas and rivers, for trade and sustenance, prompting gratitude. The Quran serves as a final, complete edition of divine guidance, following previous scriptures given to the Israelites – the Book, judgment, and prophecy – and providing them with pure provisions. However, their deviation from the path led to disgrace, a pattern that serves as a warning. The Quran stresses accountability, stating that every individual will be recompensed according to their deeds, and that reliance on false deities will not avail them.
