The concept of faith (Iman) is not a favor bestowed by believers upon Allah, but rather a blessing granted by Him. Surah Al-Isra clarifies that true faith stems from Allah’s guidance and is demonstrated through righteous actions such as prayer, charity, and obedience. The verses emphasize that acknowledging Allah's favor in guiding one to Islam is crucial, rejecting any notion of bestowing a benefit upon Him through mere profession of faith. Hypocrites, despite outwardly claiming Islam, may lack genuine belief due to insincere intentions. Allah’s complete knowledge encompasses all of creation, both visible and unseen, and He is aware of the true state of every heart. The verses also address the situation of the hypocrites during the Battle of Tabuk, highlighting how their true nature was eventually revealed, despite initial concealment.
