692 - AL HASHAR (Ayat# 08-09)
The migration (Hijra) of the Muhajireen, those who left their homes and possessions seeking Allah’s favor, demonstrates a profound test of faith and commitment. These early Muslims, despite facing hardship and displacement, prioritized their devotion to Allah and His Messenger. The response of the Ansar, the inhabitants of Madinah, was marked by exceptional generosity and compassion. Rather than viewing the Muhajireen as a burden, they welcomed them with open hearts and shared their resources, even when facing their own difficulties. This mutual support exemplifies the strength of Iman (faith) and the importance of prioritizing others. The Ansar exhibited a willingness to sacrifice their own needs for the sake of their brethren, embodying the spirit of ‘Ithar’ – selfless giving. This episode highlights the divine reward promised to those who aid Allah and His Messenger, and the enduring bond forged between the Muhajireen and Ansar.
