Zوالِ ایمان اور اسباب - Decline of Faith and Its Causes - Dr Israr Ahmad
This lecture discusses the decline of faith within the Muslim community, attributing it to a shift in focus away from the core principles of Islam and the Quran. The speaker argues that initially, faith was essential during times of struggle and jihad. However, with the establishment of an Islamic state, the emphasis shifted to law and legal rulings, diminishing the importance of inner faith. This was compounded by a deliberate strategy employed by those in power—monarchs and capitalists—to discourage widespread Quranic understanding, fearing it would incite opposition. They promoted the idea that only those with extensive religious education should interpret the Quran, effectively restricting access to its teachings for the general public. This fostered a climate where religious practice became superficial, focused on ritual rather than genuine belief.
