Any claim to sovereignty by individuals, whether pharaohs or tyrants, represents impurity and disbelief. The concept of human rule is akin to a massive, pervasive filth that cannot be cleansed, even if distributed across all of society. Islamic monotheism (Tawhid) centers on recognizing Allah as the ultimate and only sovereign.

Human thought profoundly influences behavior, character, and deeds. Conversely, a person’s actions and character significantly shape their thinking. If knowledge and intellectual growth are not accompanied by corresponding action, a decline in character and thought can occur. A disconnect between intellectual understanding and practical application leads to stagnation and potentially a regression in personal development. Actions and character have a direct impact on one’s intellectual and spiritual progress.

The Quran states that true believers possess an intense love for God. This love surpasses all other affections, even those for family. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized that complete faith is unattainable unless he is more beloved to a person than their father, son, or all of humanity. This love is not merely an emotion but is manifested through obedience. However, obedience becomes true worship only when performed with a sincere and passionate devotion to God, driven by the spirit of divine love. It is the inner feeling of love that transforms acts of worship into a meaningful connection with the Divine.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stated that some individuals, despite lacking worldly access or social standing, hold a high status in the eyes of God. Even a casual oath uttered by them is honored by Allah.
