Without this spiritual connection, rituals like sacrifice, prayer, fasting, and pilgrimage become meaningless formalities. True devotion stems from a genuine relationship with Allah, transforming actions into sincere worship. The core of sacrifice is not merely the act itself, but the underlying recognition of God’s sovereignty and one’s complete surrender to His will. Without this internal state of piety, all external observances are rendered futile.

The failure of these movements stems from a focus on the structure of Islam rather than the core of faith. Islam is a building founded upon the bedrock of *iman* (faith); without a strong foundation of faith, these movements cannot succeed. Furthermore, the methodologies employed were borrowed from flawed ideologies – bureaucracy, communism, socialism, fascism, and guerilla warfare – instead of the prophetic model of Muhammad (peace be upon him). These two errors led to the ultimate failure of these movements.

This selfless act fosters piety and guarantees a reward from Allah. Such a pilgrimage cleanses one of past sins, akin to a newborn's purity. It emphasizes the importance of sincerity, lawful income, and selfless service during Hajj to attain divine acceptance and spiritual renewal.

Human beings can attain knowledge of fundamental truths about the universe through their innate nature (sound disposition) and sound intellect, without requiring external revelation. A pure nature, free from corruption, combined with an intellect unburdened by arrogance or prejudice, allows one to perceive the existence of a Creator. This Creator possesses all attributes of perfection, is free from all flaws, and is the ultimate Sustainer. This inherent understanding arises from self-reflection and rational thought, guiding individuals to recognize the divine through their own faculties.
