013-AL-BAQARAH (Ayat 06-12)
The Quran categorizes people based on their response to divine guidance. One group accepts the message and follows the righteous path, becoming exemplary believers. Another group knowingly rejects truth due to pride, prejudice, or stubbornness; their condition is irreversible, as persuasion proves futile. A third group professes faith in Allah and the Hereafter but lacks genuine conviction, often engaging in hypocrisy. These individuals attempt to deceive both Allah and believers, ultimately deceiving themselves. The Quran emphasizes that such actions constitute corruption, not reform, and highlights a lack of awareness regarding their true state. This behavior is linked to a deeper ailment of the heart, a weakness of character that prevents them from aligning their beliefs with their actions.
