015-AL-BAQARAH (Ayat 17-20)

The first example illustrates the condition of disbelievers, likened to one who kindles a fire that illuminates the path for some but blinds others due to their prejudice and arrogance. The second allegory describes those who reject truth despite clear evidence, comparing them to individuals attempting to shield themselves from a storm while remaining exposed to its destructive force. These individuals, including Abu Jahl and others mentioned, are destined for punishment. The discussion emphasizes that true faith requires sincere intention and that coercion in matters of belief negates the purpose of divine testing and accountability. Allah has complete power over all things.
