The inclination to follow leaders, regardless of their character or motives, is a common phenomenon in human society. Individuals often attach themselves to those who wield influence – be they demagogues or religious figures – and blindly accept their guidance. However, on the Day of Judgement, these followers will disown their former leaders, while the leaders will reject them. This separation highlights the transient nature of worldly relationships and the ultimate accountability before Allah. The Quran emphasizes that loyalty should be reserved for righteous principles, not for individuals whose actions contradict divine guidance. False associations, built on mutual interests and desires, will dissolve when faced with the severity of the afterlife. Surah Al-An'am addresses the practice of dedicating animals to deities, declaring as permissible only what is lawful and pure, and condemning the attribution of falsehoods to Allah.
