The narrative recounts the story of the people of Thamud and their prophet Saleh. Saleh urged his people to believe in the oneness of Allah and presented a miraculous sign – a she-camel that miraculously emerged from a rock. This camel was to be a test of their faith, allowing it to drink and roam freely without harm. However, the arrogant leaders of Thamud rejected Saleh’s message and, in defiance, slaughtered the camel. As a consequence, they were overtaken by a severe punishment, and their dwellings were destroyed. The account also references the fate of the 'Ad people and warns against corruption and arrogance, emphasizing the importance of gratitude towards Allah.
