273 - AL-ANFAL (Tamheed part 1)
The Quranic verses of Surah Al-An'am and Surah Al-A'raf establish conclusive proof against the people of Bani Ismail and the Arab tribes. Following this, the established divine practice dictates that a community persisting in disbelief after receiving a messenger and clear evidence will face divine punishment. The Battle of Badr marked the first phase of divine retribution for the Quraysh, mirroring the destruction faced by previous nations. The final phase of this punishment occurred in the ninth year of Hijra, with a final ultimatum issued to the tribes of Arabia. Prior to Badr, a series of raids targeted Quraysh trade routes, effectively enacting an economic blockade of Mecca. The establishment of Medina as a center for the faithful, the consolidation of the Muhajireen and Ansar, and the agreement with Jewish tribes to jointly defend Medina were crucial steps in preparing for the final confrontation.
