325 - YOUNAS (Ayat# 88-97)
The narrative details the interaction between Prophet Musa (Moses) and Pharaoh, highlighting Pharaoh’s indulgence in worldly possessions and his rejection of the divine message. Musa implores his Lord to not allow Pharaoh and his elite to mislead the people, acknowledging their power and influence. The text emphasizes that true guidance comes from Allah alone and that those who reject it will face severe consequences. It describes a plea for Allah to soften the hearts of the oppressors, but ultimately states that they will not believe until they witness a painful punishment. The story culminates in the crossing of the sea by the Israelites, pursued by Pharaoh and his army, and Pharaoh's subsequent drowning, where he professed his belief in the God of Israel at the last moment – a belief deemed unacceptable due to its belatedness. The account also addresses the blessings bestowed upon the Israelites and their subsequent deviation after receiving clear guidance.
