The Quran delineates the consequences of prioritizing worldly life and its adornments over the afterlife. Those solely focused on material gain receive full compensation in this world, but find themselves devoid of reward in the hereafter, ultimately facing the fire. Conversely, individuals possessing a natural inclination towards truth – *fitra* – and guided by divine revelation, receive both worldly and eternal blessings. The Quran emphasizes that this inherent disposition, coupled with prophetic guidance and confirmed by previous scriptures like the Torah, forms a clear path to righteousness. Denying this guidance leads to severe consequences, as accountability rests with those who falsely attribute falsehoods to Allah. True affliction lies in rejecting the afterlife, blinding hearts and leading to destruction. Believers, who submit to Allah and perform righteous deeds, will inherit Paradise, while disbelievers will face escalating punishment due to their deafness and blindness to the truth. The Quran underscores that those who reject guidance ultimately destroy themselves, their falsehoods vanishing without trace.
