The denial of the afterlife and divine justice is rooted in a rejection of inherent morality. If humans possess an innate sense of right and wrong, the expectation of reward for goodness and punishment for evil logically follows. The Quran argues that those with sound judgment recognize this fundamental principle. However, those who deny the afterlife become arrogant and resistant to truth. This resistance stems not from a lack of evidence, but from a deliberate rejection of accountability. The concept of justice demands a balance that cannot be achieved in this world; a murderer’s life cannot compensate for the life taken, nor can their death truly equate to the suffering inflicted upon the victim and their family. True retribution requires a complete and equitable reckoning in the hereafter. Those who reject faith will bear the full weight of their sins and misguidance, and will also be accountable for those they lead astray. This mirrors the fate of past nations who rejected the prophets and faced divine consequences. Allah knows both the hidden and the apparent, and dislikes the arrogant. The ultimate accountability will be revealed on the Day of Judgment.
