The timing of prayers, particularly Fajr, is intrinsically linked to the natural cycle of day and night, established between the sun’s decline and the appearance of dawn. This connection extends beyond mere ritual to encompass a state of heightened spiritual awareness. The Quran emphasizes the recitation of the Quran during Fajr, known as ‘Quran al-Fajr’, because of the focused attention and receptivity experienced at this time. Angels are believed to be present during these hours, witnessing the devotion of those who engage in prayer and reflection. This act of 'Tahajjud', awakening with the Quran, is considered superior to additional voluntary prayers. The discourse also touches upon the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ arrival in Madinah, where he was received as a leader and established treaties with local tribes, signifying a new era of guidance. The Quranic verse, ‘Ja’a al-Haqq wa zaqa al-batil’ proclaims the arrival of truth and the decline of falsehood, a principle that will be fully manifested with the conquest of Makkah. The concept of 'Shaqilah', an individual's inherent predispositions and limitations, is also explored, highlighting that effort is always measured within the bounds of one's capacity.
