The Quran details a pivotal encounter between Prophet Musa (Moses) and Allah at Mount Tur (Sinai). While traveling with his family towards Madian, Musa observed a fire and, upon investigation, received a profound revelation. This event, described in Surah Taha, is not merely a historical account but a demonstration of Allah's power and a message of reassurance to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Allah revealed that the Quran was not intended to cause hardship, but to bring forth success and guidance. The narrative emphasizes Allah’s absolute knowledge – of both the open and the concealed – and highlights His unique attributes. The story continues with Musa receiving two miraculous signs: his staff transforming into a serpent and his hand emerging white without affliction, as proof of Allah’s divine power and as a means to convince Pharaoh and the Israelites.
