The narrative details the confrontation between Prophet Moses (Musa) and the sorcerers of Pharaoh. When challenged to a contest of magical prowess, the sorcerers cast their staffs and ropes, creating an illusion of snakes. However, Moses, guided by Allah, cast his staff, which miraculously transformed into a real serpent and consumed the illusions created by the sorcerers. Witnessing this undeniable sign, the sorcerers immediately prostrated in submission to the one God, acknowledging Musa as a true messenger. They declared their faith before Pharaoh, anticipating his wrath. Pharaoh, in response, threatened them with severe punishment—crucifixion and amputation—but the sorcerers remained steadfast in their belief. They affirmed their devotion to Allah, their Lord, and their willingness to return to Him. The account then describes how Allah commanded Moses to depart with His devoted followers, promising protection and pursuing the Pharaoh’s army. Ultimately, Pharaoh’s forces were drowned, and the Israelites were granted inheritance and dominion over the land, demonstrating Allah’s power and faithfulness.
