Divine revelation, or Wahi, is the process by which Allah communicates guidance to humanity, primarily through prophets. This form of knowledge differs from human learning, which relies on sensory perception and processing. While humans acquire knowledge through their five senses, divine guidance is received directly by the heart, a concept likened to a receptive vessel. This revelation was particularly strong and preserved for the prophets, safeguarding it from interference. The door to direct revelation closed after the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), though inspiration and truthful dreams remain possible, they do not constitute religious proof. The Quran and Sunnah are the primary sources of guidance in Islam. Personal insights, while valid for the individual, cannot serve as evidence for others unless they align with Islamic law. The Quran affirms its consistency with previous scriptures, completing and perfecting their teachings. It was revealed in clear Arabic, echoing themes found in earlier revelations. The Quran also addresses those who questioned its origin, highlighting that even if revealed to someone not fluent in Arabic, they would not believe. Ultimately, the denial stems from deeply ingrained rejection, and only the experience of painful consequences may shift their stance.
