The Quran addresses the descent of Shaytan (Satan) upon those who are deceitful and sinful, highlighting a connection between those of corrupt character and the influence of evil. It clarifies that the whispers and falsehoods propagated by Shaytan are often directed towards such individuals. A key distinction is drawn between the role of true messengers and that of poets, emphasizing that poets are often followed by those who are astray, lacking firm conviction. The Quran asserts that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was not a poet, but a messenger of Allah. It emphasizes that genuine faith must be coupled with righteous deeds and constant remembrance of Allah to attain true guidance. The example of Hazrat Hassan ibn Sabit, a companion known for defending the Prophet’s honor through poetry, is presented as an exception, while noting the general tendency of poets to wander and speak without acting upon their words. The Quran further highlights that those who unjustly persecute others will ultimately face the consequences of their actions.
