The Quran emphasizes the importance of treating parents with kindness and providing for their needs, not through compulsion, but through sincere care and respect. While obedience to parents is encouraged, it is conditional and should not contradict obedience to Allah. The scripture directs believers to follow the path of those who turn towards Allah, recognizing that ultimate allegiance lies with the Divine. This guidance extends beyond familial duties to encompass all righteous individuals who dedicate themselves to the pursuit of God’s pleasure. Every action, no matter how small – even a seed’s weight of good or evil – will be accounted for, whether concealed within mountains, the heavens, or the earth. Allah, the All-Knowing, will bring forth these deeds. Furthermore, the Quran stresses the necessity of establishing prayer as a means of remembering Allah and avoiding wrongdoing. It also calls for upholding righteousness, forbidding evil, and patiently enduring hardship when striving for justice. True nobility lies in abstaining from arrogance and pride, and adopting a moderate approach in all matters, including speech and demeanor.
