The Quran, revealed over fourteen centuries ago, contains verses that resonate with modern scientific understanding. Initially, its eloquence and linguistic beauty served as its primary miracle, challenging contemporaries to produce a comparable text. However, with the advancement of science, particularly in the last two centuries, the Quran’s statements regarding cosmology, biology, and other fields have increasingly aligned with empirical observations. These convergences, observed through telescopes, microscopes, and other tools, suggest a profound consistency between revealed knowledge and the natural world. The Quranic verses concerning the expansion of the universe, embryological development, and the water cycle, for example, were articulated at a time when such concepts were unknown to contemporary science. This alignment does not necessarily imply a scientific textbook, but rather a divine source of knowledge that anticipates scientific discovery. The ongoing exploration of the universe and the human body continues to reveal further corroboration of the Quran’s insights, reinforcing its claim to divine origin and providing a compelling basis for belief.
