The human being possesses both a creative potential and an inherent inclination towards both good and evil, represented by the concepts of the ‘nafs’ (self) and ‘ruh’ (spirit). The nafs, akin to the id in Freudian psychology, can lead to temptation and misguidance, while the ruh strives for spiritual elevation. Divine knowledge assures that Allah is closer to humanity than the carotid artery, aware of every whisper and intention. However, understanding this proximity requires more than intellectual comprehension; it demands faith and acceptance beyond the limits of human perception. The unseen realm, including angels, is beyond the grasp of purely material investigations, and reliance on sensory data alone is insufficient. The ultimate accountability arrives with death, a reality universally acknowledged, and the unveiling of hidden truths. The recording of human actions by vigilant angels is absolute and precise, surpassing even the capabilities of stenographers. This record will be presented on the Day of Judgment, alongside the accompanying witness, the individual's own self.
