Surah At-Tur, commencing with a series of solemn oaths, emphasizes the inevitability of divine retribution. The opening verses invoke the Mount Tur, a preserved scripture, the populated House, the elevated ceiling, and the surging sea, all bearing witness to the certainty of judgment. These oaths underscore the gravity of the message conveyed within the Surah. The discourse explores the significance of the revealed scripture, associating it with the Torah given to Moses upon Mount Tur – a written revelation distinct from the Quran, which was revealed to the heart of Prophet Muhammad. Furthermore, the Surah references 'Bait al-Ma'mur', a heavenly sanctuary mirroring the Kaaba, and describes the world as a dwelling with the heavens as its roof. It highlights the fate of the disbelievers, who will face a terrifying day marked by celestial turmoil and the upheaval of mountains, ultimately leading to their consignment to the blazing fire of Jahannam. The righteous, however, will be rewarded with gardens of bliss, enjoying the fruits of their faith and shielded from the torment of the hereafter.
