Surah Al-Waqi'ah details the contrasting fates of the righteous and the misguided on the Day of Judgment. It vividly portrays the inhabitants of Paradise, known as 'Ashab al-Yameen' (the people of the right hand), enjoying eternal bliss in lush gardens with fruit-laden trees, flowing water, and elevated companions. These blessed individuals are described as being honored with beautiful spouses and youthful partners, representing a state of perpetual joy and fulfillment. Conversely, the 'Ashab al-Shimal' (the people of the left hand) are depicted enduring scorching heat, scalding water, and a harsh existence. They are characterized by their past indulgence in worldly pleasures and their rejection of faith, specifically the denial of resurrection and accountability. The Surah emphasizes that Allah will gather both the first and the last generations on a predetermined day, holding everyone accountable for their deeds. It serves as a reminder to those who stray and disbelieve, warning them of the consequences of their actions and the inevitable reckoning.
