The Quran emphasizes that all occurrences, whether favorable or adverse, are predetermined by Allah’s knowledge and recorded in divine scripture. This encompasses both worldly calamities and personal experiences. Believers are encouraged to avoid regret over past losses or excessive joy over gains, recognizing that everything happens according to Allah’s will. True contentment lies in accepting Allah’s decree and trusting in His wisdom, even when the reasons behind trials are unclear. The concept of ‘rizq’ (provision) highlights that sustenance comes from Allah, and gratitude is essential. Focus should shift from lamenting what is lost to appreciating what remains and utilizing abilities for righteous deeds. The example of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, who endured persecution for his beliefs, illustrates steadfastness in the face of adversity. Ultimately, success is not measured by worldly possessions or status but by sincere devotion to Allah and striving for the Hereafter. The Quran stresses that Allah is Al-Ghani (The Self-Sufficient) and Al-Hamid (The Praised), needing no one's assistance and deserving all praise.
