The Quran details a pattern of divine messengers sent to guide humanity, beginning with Musa (Moses) as a prophet to the Israelites and also as a messenger to the people of Pharaoh. Isa (Jesus), similarly, was a messenger to the Children of Israel, confirming the Torah and foretelling the arrival of Ahmad (Muhammad). This progression highlights a consistent message throughout history, but also the consequences of rejecting divine guidance. When people strayed, Allah sealed their hearts, preventing them from accepting the truth. The Quran emphasizes that Allah does not force guidance upon those who deliberately turn away. The account in Surah Al-Imran focuses on Isa’s role as a messenger to the Israelites, while the narrative connects to the final messenger, Muhammad, and the invitation to Islam. The Quranic verses in Surah Al-Isra’il recount Allah’s favor towards the Israelites, but also their rejection of His signs. Ultimately, the Quran asserts that Allah will complete His light, even in the face of opposition, and those who reject truth will face consequences.
