Human life is inherently marked by hardship and struggle, a state described as ‘fi qubd’—a condition of constriction or difficulty. This concept, explored in the Quran, extends beyond physical challenges to encompass emotional, psychological, and spiritual trials. Surah Al-Inshiqaq highlights this reality, emphasizing that even amidst abundance and comfort, humans are susceptible to sorrow and anxiety. The Quranic verses also address the contrast between those who strive to please Allah and those consumed by worldly possessions, illustrating how true fulfillment lies in faith, righteous deeds, and compassion towards others. The act of freeing a slave, providing sustenance to the needy during times of hardship, and showing mercy are presented as pathways to overcome life’s difficulties and attain divine reward. This guidance emphasizes the importance of patience, empathy, and unwavering belief in Allah's plan, even when faced with adversity. Ultimately, the Quran teaches that genuine peace comes from acknowledging our inherent vulnerability and seeking solace in faith and virtuous actions.
