The Quran's revelation follows a structured pattern, evident in Surah Ash-Shams and other Meccan chapters. This structure begins with extensive oaths, followed by a central message, and then a further elaboration of that core theme. Surah At-Takwir, for example, initiates with thirteen verses of oaths before delivering its central message. Surah Al-Infitar condenses this pattern, presenting the core message more directly after only four verses. This pattern of oaths, central message, and expansion continues through Surah Al-Layl and Surah Ad-Duha, demonstrating a gradual unveiling of the Quran’s wisdom. The verses emphasize the connection between the sun, moon, and night, highlighting the divine order and the human capacity for both righteousness and corruption. The Quran’s emphasis on *taqwa* (consciousness of Allah) and *fajur* (wickedness) is instilled within the human soul, enabling discernment between good and evil. The concept of *tilawah* (recitation) is also linked to following and embodying the teachings of the Quran.
