790 - AL LAIL (Ayat# 01-07)
The Quran emphasizes the inherent struggle present in human life, from the challenges of earning a livelihood to raising families and upholding beliefs. Surah Al-Balad highlights this reality, stating that humankind is created in hardship. While effort is constant, the results of that effort are diverse; some actions lead to paradise, others to hellfire. This divergence is explained through the concept of individual accountability and the choices made during one’s life. Each person engages in a transaction – selling their self – through their deeds. Those who prioritize righteousness, compassion, and truthfulness will find ease and divine assistance, while those who pursue falsehood and injustice will face consequences. The Quran identifies three key attributes for success: generosity, righteousness, and acceptance of truth. Cultivating these qualities leads to divine facilitation and ultimately, to the path of eternal bliss.
