This fear isn't necessarily overt denial of the afterlife, but a lack of genuine conviction and a reliance on false assurances of salvation based on lineage, perceived status, or a misunderstanding of divine mercy. The absence of this fear prevents individuals from truly embracing righteous conduct and realizing their potential, leading to spiritual deprivation. It highlights that true faith necessitates not just intellectual acceptance but also a profound emotional connection to accountability in the afterlife.
