Dunya Ek Imtihan - A Test of Life - Dr Israr Ahmad
Ibn Umar emphasize following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Those with a deep understanding of Hadith find a strong connection with Abdullah Ibn Umar. He describes a life in the world as either a traveler or a passerby, cautioning against excessive attachment. He illustrates this with the analogy of a rider briefly resting in the shade of a tree, then continuing their journey, not considering the tree a destination. He explains that worldly life is a deception, a temporary enjoyment, and a means to cultivate deeds for the afterlife. He clarifies that Islam does not advocate renunciation of the world but rather striving to establish the divine religion within it. The Quran describes worldly life as fleeting compared to the eternal life of the hereafter, emphasizing that it is merely amusement and play. True life lies in the afterlife, if only people would realize it.
