Fitrat aur Jiblat - Nature and Instinct - Motivational Bayan by Dr Israr Ahmad

Human beings possess both *fitrat* (nature) and *jiblat* (instinct). *Fitrat* represents the spiritual needs and inherent disposition with which humans are created by God, aligning with the divine nature. This is the core of our being and the basis of our morality. *Jiblat*, on the other hand, refers to animal instincts and primal drives, similar to what is termed ‘fight or flight’ or libido. While *jiblat* is a part of our biological makeup, *fitrat* is a higher faculty guiding our spiritual and moral development. Understanding the distinction between these two aspects of human existence is crucial for self-awareness and spiritual growth.
