In Hindu tradition, daughters are typically excluded from inheritance, receiving only a token dowry considered charity, not a right. Among Rajputs and other Hindu communities, only the eldest son inherits property, preserving land holdings. Islamic law, however, grants daughters a defined share in inheritance from the estate of their deceased father, regardless of the amount, as a mandatory obligation from God. This share is a fixed portion of the estate, ensuring financial security for women.
