Ilm Al-Hass o Ilm Al-Aql - Dr Israr Ahmad
Human knowledge is fundamentally based on two sources: sensory perception (Ilm al-Hass) and intellect (Ilm al-Aql). Sensory data provides information through the senses, while intellect allows for reasoning, inference, and the advancement of knowledge. This knowledge, often referred to as spiritual or heart-based knowledge, originates from divine revelation. Human understanding branches into scientific disciplines like physics, chemistry, and biology, experiencing rapid growth in the last two centuries. Simultaneously, humanity seeks to understand the universe's origins and fundamental truths through philosophy, metaphysics, and social sciences. This pursuit extends to understanding the laws governing society, economics, and the universe itself, marking a continuous quest for knowledge and understanding.
