Dr. Israr Ahmad details his family history, tracing lineage back to Hazrat Siddiq-e-Akbar (RA). He recounts the story of his great-grandfather, Hafiz Noorullah, a landowner in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, whose property was confiscated by the British after refusing shelter to an injured British magistrate. The family subsequently migrated across the Yamuna River to Hisar, East Punjab, where they resumed government service in the irrigation department. Dr. Ahmad was born on April 26, 1932, in a house built by his mother, who sold her jewelry to finance its construction in a developing area of Hisar. He notes that his lineage, the ‘Dadial’ clan, is a specific group within the Kshatriya Rajput community, with the first members converting to Islam and adopting the name Dewan Bari Baksh.
