Khatm-e-Nabuwat: Meaning & Completion - Motivational Bayan by Dr Israr Ahmad

The concept of *Khatm-e-Nabuwat* (the sealing of prophethood) has two primary meanings. The first refers to the cessation of prophethood, meaning the line of prophets that began with Adam (peace be upon him) concluded with Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This signifies the end of a historical phenomenon. The second meaning relates to completion and fulfillment. Just as completing homework signifies its finalization, the prophethood and messenger-hood were perfected in Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The true excellence of the Prophet lies in this completion, revealing his greatness. The first meaning describes a historical event, but the second highlights the Prophet’s unique status and the perfection of divine guidance through him.
