Khilafat e Rashida - The System of Justice by Dr Israr Ahmad

This lecture elucidates the dual objectives of religion: worldly justice and ultimate salvation. The primary worldly goal of religion is revolution – the dismantling of oppressive and rebellious systems to establish divine justice. This necessitates a system of *khilafat* (successorship) – not sovereignty – where humanity recognizes itself as the vicegerent of God. The true status of humanity is that of a successor, not a ruler; authority rests solely with God. This concept reframes popular sovereignty, positioning all of humanity as accountable to God as His representatives on Earth.
