This lecture discusses the grounds for a woman to seek *khula* (divorce) in Islam. It clarifies that a woman can request *khula* simply due to a lack of affection for her husband, but a proper investigation is needed to ensure it isn't a result of temporary anger. An example from the Prophet Muhammad's life is presented where a woman, after experiencing a night in unpleasant conditions, expressed a preference for those conditions over being with her husband, leading to the dissolution of the marriage. The lecture also addresses the validity of a woman seeking divorce immediately after the marriage contract (rukhsati before khula) and remarriage to the same man. It clarifies that this constitutes a single divorce, preventing the husband from immediate reconciliation, but allows remarriage if the wife consents.
