Nabuwat aur Bashriyat - Prophethood and Humanity - Dr Israr Ahmad
This lecture explores the concept of prophethood within the framework of human nature, as presented in the Quran. It addresses how the Quran consistently emphasizes the Prophet Muhammad’s (peace be upon him) humanity to counter misconceptions and prevent the association of divine attributes with him. The discussion highlights how past nations rejected prophets due to their human form, and ironically, how some later communities denied the humanity of prophets they accepted. The lecture underscores a consistent pattern of rejecting what seems logically impossible – either denying prophethood because of human form, or denying humanity after accepting the prophet. It clarifies that the source of knowledge for prophets is revelation, in addition to the sensory and intellectual means available to all humans.
