Pakistan was not created for personal interests, landed estates, or merely for building mosques. Its fundamental purpose was to establish a system of social justice as envisioned in the teachings brought by Muhammad. The custodians of this system have remained inactive. We possessed the solution, but failed to implement it and present it to the world. Pakistan was intended to be a model demonstrating the principles of freedom, equality, and brotherhood as taught in Islam. The vision has been lost. The Quran emphasizes that only those who uphold faith will prosper.
