Purdah Aur Libas - Modest Dress Code

Islamic guidelines dictate a woman's modest dress code, encompassing both covering and appropriate fit. A woman must cover her *satar* (parts of the body that must be concealed) and maintain *hijab* before non-mahram men. She may reveal her face, hands, and feet before mahram relatives. Clothing should neither be excessively tight, revealing the body's contours, nor sheer, exposing what lies beneath. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has cursed those women who dress but are essentially naked. Covering the *satar* is essential, while concessions can be made in emergency situations like medical necessity when a female doctor is unavailable.
