Ramadan Mein Quran Ka Nazool - Dr Israr Ahmad
This lecture explains the timing and manner of the Quran’s revelation during Ramadan. Dr. Israr Ahmad details two perspectives: the initial revelation occurring on Laylat al-Qadr, and the gradual descent of the Quran over twenty-three years. He clarifies that the complete Quran was revealed from the preserved tablet (Lauh Mahfuz) to the lowest heaven on Laylat al-Qadr, then revealed incrementally to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through Angel Gabriel, aligning with the needs of his mission. The lecture emphasizes the Quran's universal guidance for all humanity – both common people and scholars – but stresses that benefiting from its wisdom requires piety (taqwa). The significance of fasting in Ramadan is linked to cultivating this piety, enabling individuals to receive and understand the Quran’s message. The lecture also highlights the connection between the Quran and self-discovery, referencing Allama Iqbal’s inspiration from the Quran for his philosophy of Khudi (selfhood).
