This lecture details the life of Salman al-Farsi, from his birth in Persia as the son of a fire-worshipper to his eventual acceptance of Islam. He rejected idol worship and embarked on a search for truth, studying with various religious figures. A monk foretold the arrival of a prophet in Arabia. Captured as a slave, he ended up in Medina, where he presented a gift of dates to the Prophet Muhammad, seeking acceptance. The Prophet clarified he wouldn't accept charity but gifts. This act led to Salman’s conversion and his recognition by the Prophet as one of his ‘Ahl al-Bait’ – family. He was a devoted companion, always in the Prophet’s company, and dedicated to the service of Islam.
