Taghut Ka Maqsad - Meaning of Taghut

The concept of *taghut* refers to any power that compels humans to worship it. Essentially, anything worshipped besides God is considered *taghut*. A careless statement can lead to misinterpretations of this concept. *Tagha* means to exceed limits; thus, *taghut* embodies exceeding the bounds set by God. Those who force worship of anything other than God are *taghut*, as are the entities being worshipped. However, venerating figures like Jesus (peace be upon him) does not make them *taghut* themselves; rather, the act of worship becomes *taghut*. God’s messengers and saints never demand subservience from people; they guide them towards God. The core principle is that any entity demanding worship instead of God is *taghut*.
