This lecture addresses the question of whether a person who repents after the age of forty needs to make up for previously missed prayers. It clarifies that sincere repentance, meeting specific conditions like genuine remorse and a firm commitment to avoid future sins, leads to forgiveness of all sins. If the sins involve the rights of others, either forgiveness must be obtained or restitution made. Otherwise, good deeds may be transferred to the wronged party or bad deeds may be assigned to the repentant’s account. Complete repentance absolves all transgressions.
