Sometimes, jokes are tolerated among friends, but sensitivity varies. A remark accepted on one day can deeply wound someone experiencing emotional vulnerability. Words, unlike physical wounds, leave lasting scars on the heart. The proverb highlights that while a sword’s wound can heal, a wound inflicted by language does not. The failure of these movements stems from a focus on the structure of Islam rather than the core of faith. Furthermore, the methodologies employed were borrowed from flawed ideologies – bureaucracy, communism, socialism, fascism, and guerilla warfare – instead of the prophetic model of Muhammad (peace be upon him). These two errors led to the ultimate failure of these movements.
